RAIDERS VS. BUCCANEERS
This was definitely our closest game yet. The score was 12-13 Raiders. Carson had a really good game. He scored the two touchdowns that won the game for us. His coach was calling him two touchdown Carson at practice. Keep it up Carson!

THE REES' IN ATLANTA
We all went last summer and had a blast
Those of you who know Dave and his brother's know that they are each full of personality and are very good at making others laugh. I am posting this to let Scott know he is favorite brother right now. He is the only sibling (including my own) that has ever commented on my blog. They have always made me laugh out loud. Scott is Dave's brother that lives in Atlanta and practices law. He is married to Kim and has a little boy (almost 2) Blake. Scott and Kim have been married for about a two and half years. Scott is a very hard worker and I know has a very stressful job. Kim is more dedicated to Blake than any mom that I know. They are both wonderful people and very kind to me and my family too. That's one of the joys of marriage. Not only do you get a great spouse but great family members too. So Scott and Kim this blogs for you. Thanks for being great in-laws and we'll see you soon.
SOUTHWEST CHICKEN DIP
My friend Lisa gave me this recipe. It is so easy and so yummy. I've shared it with my family, but I figure with it being football season, you just can't have too many dip recipes. Happy dipping!
2-8oz. cream cheese
1 lg. can chicken
1 jar salsa
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Mix cream cheese and chicken together. Spread in bottom of a 8 x 8 dish. Layers with jar of salsa and top with cheese. Bake 325 degrees for 20 minutes.

TIME FOR A NEW CAMERA
So I was sitting on the couch yesterday enjoying what the home teachers had to say, when I got a knock at the door. I noticed it was my neighbor and she had a Ziploc bag in her hand with lots of little crushed pieces. Yep, you guessed it. It was my camera. She noticed it on the side of the road and was able to save the memory card. Thank goodness. She went home, loaded it up to her computer and the first picture she saw was of my girls. I'm not sure how it ended up on the side of the road, but I'm very grateful she saved the card. I can always replace the camera but not the memories on the card. So, note to self and to those of you reading this, update your records often. If I wouldn't have downloaded all of my pics the day before I would have been sick to my stomach at all of the memories I could have lost. I guess I'll be making a trip to Best Buy soon. Like Dave will have any complaints of that outing. Any excuse to get to Best Buy. Thank goodness for neighbors with good eyes and thank goodness for Best Buy, I guess!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLLIN!
Happy first birthday Collin. We're so glad that you're healthy and happy and things are going better for you. As many of you know, Collin is my sister Natalie's little boy who was struggling with some health problems for a while. They're still not sure what the diagnosis of his conditions were but I know through fasting and prayer, Natalie and Matt are both very blessed to have a healthier little boy. Collin is a tough kid, and has the cutest little face on him. Keep fighting Collin, and know that we love you and wish you a very happy birthday.
B.A.D.
I hope this doesn't come across as sac religious, but as many of you know living in the South, we get the great opportunity of being reminded that we live in a Christian community and are surrounded by others who feel very strongly about their beliefs also. One of my favorite things to do is read the quotes that the many different churches have posted out on their marquees. I am a christian woman, but I do have to admit that most of these quotes give me a good reason to chuckle in the morning as I go about my day. I found my favorite quote the other day though. I was heading into Memphis and as I was driving past a church of which religion I will not name, I saw in black letters really big "WE BAD." With the location I was driving in it wasn't surprising, but what the quote read was "WE BAD, Blessed and Delivered." I had a small laugh to myself and knew I had to share this with those of you who don't get the great opportunity of being reminded daily how lucky you are to be a Christian.

CARA AND RYLEIGH'S PLAYDATE

My friend and visiting teacher Shauna Cameron helped me out a ton yesterday. I had a doctor's appointment and she was so willing to help watch my girl's. She took these pics and I just had to add them to my blog because I think Ryleigh looks so funny with her big princess crown on. The girl's had a good time. I owe you Shauna!RAIDERS VS. JETS
Dave's reminded me that I'm already behind on Carson's stats for last week. He did awesome. The whole team did awesome. It was truly a nail biter. I left with two less fingernails. The score was 16-18. Carson made all three touchdowns for his team. Coach told me that the talent Carson has he can't coach that it's just natural. It's great to hear that kind of praise about your own children. I'm excited for Carson. We have never looked forward to Thursday nights like we do now. Dave and I have made a night out of it. We get a babysitter, leave the girls home and really enjoy the game. We then of course head off to ice cream and get that special one on one time with Carson. Let's go Raiders!

CALLING OUT ALL FAMILY MEMBERS
Not to put my family on the spot or anything (namely Hooper's) but get real phones, yes land lines. The ones that I can actually get a hold of you on. Rees' you're doing fine in this department, but my family STINKS! Believe it or not I actually like to talk to you guys. Also-while I'm on this power trip, comment on my blog!!! Most of this goes out to you, and my dear friends are the only ones replying. Now that I've put the Hooper's on the spot I better get some response. To all of you who are not related I promise my family won't take this personal. Thanks family. Love Ya!

MY NEW CALLING
I was sustained today as the new Personal Progress leader in our ward. It is a little bittersweet though. I loved my Mia Maids but at the same time it will be nice not to have a Sunday calling. I've had a Sunday calling for about 7 years and I'll have to admit with as much traveling as I do it will be so nice not to have to find subs anymore. Regardless though, I'm still in the Young Women's program and I definitely know that's where my heart is.

CARSON HAS HIS FIRST SLEEPOVER
Carson had his first sleepover last night. He was so excited. Dave and I were a little nervous though. What if for some reason he gets scared or he's on his worst behavior. How embarrassing for him that would be. He was invited to stay the night with his Primary friend Jared Sharp. Or as Jared would say his "DogDiggityDog". Jared's parents picked Carson up, took the boys to pizza, and that was followed by what Carson says "a ton of fun." They played games, told ghost stories, and had pancakes for breakfast. I think our turn of hosting sleepovers has now begun. Thanks Sharp's, Carson had a blast!
