I'm not one for posting pictures of myself, but for those of you who have asked, here it is...the baby bump. I'm heading into my 5 month. I'm feeling pretty good and finally have some of my energy back. Carson took this picture of me the other day so I thought I'd share.

Who is this man...and what did you do with my husband?

(MaryAnn I thought you would appreciate this)
Last Saturday Dave kept saying he was craving a homemade cherry pie. Well I didn't think anything of it, except I knew I wasn't about to bake a pie from scratch. So I went off to take one of my 4 hour prego naps and as I arose I smelled something baking. Well to my surprise, there it was a cherry pie. Dave made this pie from scratch. He rolled out the dough, filled it, topped it with more dough, the whole nine yards. Now that I know he can bake a pie he'll definitely have to step it up in the kitchen a little more.

Love Songs

I thought this would be kind of fun. Do you and your spouse have a"love song". You know, like a wedding song. If you do what is it??? I think couples songs can tell a lot about their love story. I would say our song is "Lady" by Kenny Rogers. I know kinda weird. The story goes....I bought Kenny Rogers greatest hits up at Utah State because I love the song "The Gambler"-you know for those long Wendover weekends. Anyway~ When Dave and I were dating I would make him listen to this C.D. (which is actually a really good C.D.) all of the time. One day in the car he told me that "Lady" was our song and if you listen to the words it really does explain our love story. Dave was at a place in his life where he needed to find me and walah I just happened to pop right into his life. Okay kinda cheesy. Anyway~can't wait to read your answers.
I love this man!
I just wanted to take a sec and brag on my hubby for a sec. Those of you who know Dave well, know that he is a super good father. His family comes first no matter what. He has a pretty cush job, but when he's away it kills him. Dave supports all of us in whatever we do. He supports me as a wife, a YW president, an emotional-hormonal pregnant Mom....and unlike most guys only complains if I take his kids from him for too long. He lets me take 5 hour naps, take off for the weekend with friends, supports my spending habit, and enjoys eating out just as much as I do. He loves me soooo much that he took all of next week off of work, bought me a plane ticket, and is watching all three kids while I head up to Montana to play with my sisters and Mom. Now isn't he the best. I just love my big ole' Dave!

No cell phone....are you kidding me!

What is a mother to do??? I'm without a cell phone until Saturday. Dave's phone broke and he needed one for his trip before he left. So of course I had to hand my phone over for the week. I can't believe how lost I feel without it. I guess it's just knowing that there's that option is a good feeling. One things for sure, our minutes will stay low and I won't be calling my Mom and sisters as much. Lucky for them!

Hooray for season premiers

Yay, I'm so excited for the new season of Dancing with the Stars. I can't wait to see who does well and who totally bombs it. My guess for winners would be Kim Kardashian and Lance Bass so far, but who knows, they may be horrible. I guess we'll see tomorrow night.

Hot Mamma Cheri

I was in need of a girl's night out, so when my friend Cheri asked if I would join her at a fitting for her cancer awareness fashion show, I was all in! Our friend Amy joined us and we ended up having a really good time. Cheri totally looked like a hot mamma in her outfits and Amy and I had a great time being the judges. We ended the night with dinner at Osaka Hibachi Grill. It was a fun night and so nice to get out of my pregnancy slump.

Colts vs. Giant's

Once again Carson "turned up the speed" at his game on Tuesday against the Giants. He scored two touchdowns making it a win for the Colts. Go Carson!

Gas Gouging???

As many of you have probably read or heard, there is some major gas gouging going on in the state of Tennessee. I kid you not~I filled up my car on Saturday at 11am, I drove past that same location 2 hours later and the gas had gone up 60 cents, and in some parts of the state it went up to $7.00 a gallon. What the heck??? To me this is so incredibly ridiculous. How UN AMERICAN to treat your fellow American neighbors this way. The craziest thing that we're dealing with right now is the loss of gas. We live close to three gas stations who are out of gas completely. We're just crossing our fingers that things are worked out shortly. Until then, we're just kind of sticking close to home.

Flavored Kisses

It's that time of year....time for holiday candy. The holiday candy has been hitting the shelves around here and I can't help but try a little of everything. I would have to say that so far these are my favorites~the new Hershey's Kisses Candy Corn flavor. They are the best! Give them a try, tell me what you think.

Ace of Cakes

"Ace of Cakes"...Have you seen this show? I love it, but not enough to spend $10,000 on a cake. Yep, that's what their website quotes. Crazy what people will spend their money on. However if I had that kind of "funny munny" around just to play with I would probably order one too. Their cakes are amazing. Check out their website http://www.charmcitycakes.com/ or just watch the show on the food network.

Appointment #2

I had a doctors appointment yesterday and everything was great. The heartbeat sounded good, I got some good advice for my allergies, and was given the okay on some medication. So things are good. I loved the hospital facility. I had never been there and it was my first time getting a tour of the women's center. The thing that stood out most to me were the scriptures across the hallways and walls. Only in the South! I loved it though and can't wait to go back.

My bros

I spend so much time whining about how I miss my sisters that my brothers probably think they don't exist in my world, but that's so not true...I miss your wit, your spunky personalities, your jokes, your honesty, and who couldn't miss the handsome hunks that you both are!!!

That's my boy!

We're so proud of Carson. He's been the only kid on his team to score touchdowns the past two games. He's definitely an athlete. He must have gotten that from me!

Smile that frown away....

I think it was pretty obvious from my last post that I was having a few rotten days last week. Thanks for all of your kind words. I promise I'm doing fine. It was one of those days where I wanted to vent and you all got to hear it. If blogs are true journals than they can't always be so happy and inspiring. Life isn't perfect! I can say today has been a little more perfect though. It's been the first day in 4 months where I haven't felt nauseous. YAY!!!

This has been kind of a rough week for me, so here goes some random thoughts from a very emotional, pregnant sister~ My sister Alyson has now moved to Billings, Montana where my other sister Natalie lives. Wow, how I wish I could be there too. Those of you who have sisters just get what I'm saying. I never thought it would be so hard to live away from them. Living away has made me realize how lucky and blessed I am to have not only one but two wonderful sisters. I'm so glad that Cara and Ryleigh have each other. I hope that one day they realize how important a sister is and that they can share the same special relationship that I have with my sisters, Natalie and Alyson.

I'll Walk

I love Bucky Covington's new song "I'll Walk". Have you heard it? It's kind of got the same feel to it as "SaraBeth" by Rascal Flatts. I love when an artist writes a feel good song, that makes me want to play it over and over again.

Rollin' with the homies......

My new ride~
Now all I need are some pink, fuzzy dice and the new "Jay Z" CD.
