Cara's class made these cute tunics and headbands for Thanksgiving. We had to give her an Indian name and we decided to go with "Smile as bright as the Sun". We should have added TOOTHLESS to that though :) She loves kindergarten and I love watching the excitement she gets over celebrating the Holidays with her classmates.
Carson had a PTA performance at his school last week. It was optional and he begged me not to make him sing in it but I told him it's important to be a well rounded kid and he wasn't "too cool" to sing. He did a fine job and even though he may not admit it, I think he kind of likes performing. We'll see....
We've got a sleepwalker on our hands!
These pics are a little weird, but I just had to show these. Carson sleepwalks at least once if not twice a week. He sleeps right above our room so when we hear him jump off his top bunk we usually know we're in for a treat. The whole thing is just bizarre to me. Carson is way stronger than me and I've heard you shouldn't try to be forceful when they're asleep so I've learned the best way to get him back in bed is to gently tickle him on his sides and guide him back to his room. It seems to be working. Hopefully he'll grow out of this but it is pretty entertaining and Dave and I get a kick out of it!~
How easy is this~"Mom I want to take my training wheels off."....."K Ryleigh lets do it"....."Just look forward and don't stop pedaling."....Wallah, Done!...Seriously doesn't get any easier than that. She hasn't quit riding since.

So I was going through some old pics last night trying to get my photos organized when I ran across these. Seriously this boy of ours was meant to be a ball player. He's been eating and sleeping (literally) it up all his life. I mean look at that form at two years old. These totally crack me up!
So I've had a few people ask me recently if my daughters look like my sisters daughter....well I'll let you be the judge of that.

My sister Alyson has opened up a Holiday Nut Company~you know the ones they usually sale in the middle of the mall that smell way yummy! I'm doing a shout out for her~if anyone is interested in ordering Holiday packages you can visit her site at http://www.completelynutsonline.blogspot.com/. I promise you won't be disappointed!
So I asked Ryleigh to go get her panties on yesterday and two minutes later she came downstairs like this....oh she's a silly girl!
Cara's Soccer Season 09'
Cara's soccer season just came to an end. She had a great time with all of her little church buddies. It was a church league and the "Stormin Mormons" held their own haha! She was actually pretty good. The girl has got legs and fast ones too. Ryleigh got to sub in once and well lets just say she was more interested in the treats she knew she got after the game.

Football Season 09'
I know I'm constantly bragging about this athletic boy of mine, but I think I do it because I'm so stinkin jealous! Where does he get it from??? Obviously we have some athletes in our family (nope not me) but I never thought I would have such an athletic son and I never knew I could get so into football and actually understand the game too. He had a great season. He of course chose to be #21 after his favorite player LT. As you can see from his scores, he is one fast kid. It's funny though, he's so super fast but yet hits like a mad man. Because of that, the coach had him tackling more than running. I think it was a great learning experience for Carson. We played on a Christian Competitive league this year and missed playing with our city folks so we'll probably go back to city next year.(we're so not rich and snotty enough to keep up haha) but he did take away some great lessons and got some fun and inspiring devotionals along the way. Way to go #21. Great season!

Young Men/Young Women Line Dance
This was a fun night had by all ages. Our good friends Craig and Cheri let us host a line dance on their sports court. The kids had a ball. You all know me and know that I eat up line dancing so of course I loved it. Let's just say that getting down on my knees to do the "Funky" Electric Slide definitely doesn't do good things for my body anymore. I'm so out of shape (but that's a whole other post). It's so fun to see the youth outside of church. I love these girls and I love the women I work with. Besides Dave and my kids, these girls definitely motivate me to be a better person.

Race for the Cure...What a neat experience! I decided to do the 5K this year in honor of my Grandma Elene and great friend Cheri. They're both very special women in my life. This was such an inspiring event to be part of. I can't wait to do it again next year--hopefully running the whole thing. There was an older woman, (a survivor), who ran the whole way led by her husband. If she can do it, I definitely can do it. To all you survivors...Keep on surviving!

Congrats to our little "Reflections" winner, Cara! She won 2nd place in her category photography with her picture "Beautiful as a Butterfly". She was invited to an awards ceremony where she won a big, red, ribbon. She's very proud of her ribbon. It hangs on her lamp in her room. Way to go CaraAnn!

TRICK OR TREAT!
It was the most perfect Halloween-The weather was great, kids were great, costumes all came out great (even my skinny Nacho Libre), and of course the candy is always great.
A little Ward Trunk or Treatin'- We had a fun time at the Ward party as we always do. My young women put on a great haunted house that even had me screaming a bit. We've been blessed to have some really wonderful people in our Ward along with great missionaries.
The kids aren't allowed to dress up for Halloween here so they have a "western day" up at the school instead. It's kind of a pain because then you have to go looking for two costumes. Luckily I'm a cowgirl at heart so I'm pretty stocked up on western wear.
I love love love fall foods. Let the calorie add up begin!
Ryleigh's little preschool party was kind of lame, hate to say it but it was. The parents just stood there and watched the kids eat. No games, parades, singing...lame. She looked cute though and that's all that matters right!
