"The Boys of Fall"
This is why I love football in the South....First love God, Second love Football~
(Carson's team bowing their heads before the game.)
Saturday was our first Jamboree game at Grace Evangelical. Our Mustang boys did great! Carson carried the ball 3 times, got some great hits, and most importantly had fun. Go Mustangs, and go #20!!!

Ryleigh lost her first tooth!!!
Ryleigh lost her first tooth last week. My kids loose their teeth so early. It's amazing how busy they've kept the tooth fairy this year. Her bottom left tooth is now loose. At this point she really may be asking for her two front teeth for Christmas.

This is what our moon has looked like the past couple of nights. I got eaten alive by mosquito's taking this, but I think it turned out pretty neat. Just thought I'd share....

Kenny Chesney - The Boys of Fall

Best video I've seen in a while. I never thought I'd be such a fan of the game but I think once your child plays something and excels at it you learn to love it. I love the smell of "football" in the air. Those of you who have husbands/fathers/sons/brothers who have played high school football should share this with them. It's super uplifting and gives me the chills!!!

Our baby (for now) heads to Kindergarten~
Ryleigh had her first day of Kindergarten today. I think it went well and we already know she loves her teacher Mrs. Lavelle. Cara had her last year and she's great so Ryleigh was hoping for her too. Ryleigh seemed a little timid this morning but when we went to pick her up she was all smiles so she must have gotten over her fears. Dave and I had our first day with all three kids at school. We went out to lunch, ran a few errands, and came home to a very peaceful house. It's very weird but it won't last for long so we're trying to enjoy every minute of it!!!

First day of school for Carson and Cara

Carson and Cara started school last week. We now have a first grader and a big fifth grader. Carson got Mrs. Perkins and Cara got Mrs. Parker. It's hard to have an opinion on both of their teachers so early in the year but so far so good! I think the kids were just as excited to start school as I was to send them. It's been a long, hot summer and they were ready to get out. Yay for Mom, back to my routine!!!

Showered with lots of love!!!
My dear friend Lisa had a baby shower for
me last Saturday. It was so nice to receive NEW things. It's been a while since we've had brand new little boy things around here. I hate being on the spot so I may not have acted as grateful as I should have but I definitely was. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such good friends here in Collierville. I hope they all know how much they mean to me.

I couldn't find Ryleigh the other day and she was not answering me so I quickly scattered around the house and outside and then decided to check Dave's office....yep, there she was. We now have another gamer in the house....oh technology it's taking over...that includes me too!!!

Team Collierville here we come...Carson had competitive baseball tryouts this weekend and we're so proud of him for making it. It's the first "try-out" experience at our house and it was way too stressful. I was stressed about how I was going to tell him if he didn't make it and Dave was just plain stressed! It was a good learning experience for all of us though. I told him this was just the beginning, that from here on out he would be trying out for teams and that if he did his best and tried his hardest than that was all he could do. But there may be times when he doesn't make it and that's okay too. It's crazy, but in order to make the middle school teams here, which he'll be going to next year, you have to play competitive or they don't even look at you so we're now doing competitive baseball and football. Life is a little chaotic but he loves it. We truly wouldn't do all of this unless we knew he loved it. Believe me our bank account would be a little happier too! I guess this is the life right now. Baseball, football, school, dance, scouts,....I love it though and I'm just glad we can do these fun things for our kids.

Ryleigh has finally turned 5 which means she gets to start dance. She's now taking at the same studio as Cara and she loves it. I think she'll actually do pretty good. She's pretty athletic and has got a little groove going on. She's taking tap/jazz/ballet combo. Just another lesson we get to add to the weekly schedule. Now I remember why my Mom was so excited for us to get our license. The Rees taxi service is constantly going!!!

36 weeks along....

My Dad "The General" finally retired after serving 31 years in the USAF. I'm so proud of him and the example of patriotism he has shown to me and my family. He and my Mom have definitely made some sacrifices for his job, but I know they wouldn't have had it any other way. It killed me that I couldn't be out there to celebrate but my thoughts were definitely with them that day. Well done Dad, you served our country proud!!!
My Dad is on the right accepting the flag
Carson had a great baseball season. He started out playing on the city league with the Mets and then was chosen to represent his division on our city All-Star team. He's a hard worker and in the end it paid off. He was able to go to Jackson, Tennessee where he was one of the younger if not the youngest kid to play in the state All-Star tournaments. His team got crushed but learned lots of lessons, most importantly not to give up. Dave helped coach and the kids just love him. He can really help bring smiles to the dug out when things are going tough.
So I'm not going to lie...these were two of the most miserable days ever when it comes to the heat. Dave and Carson were chaffed and had heat rash (Carson was even bleeding), and the girls and I were sweating from every pour of our body...the most comfortable one was the little guy inside me. This is how hot it was....I'm not even kidding when I say I spent $40 in drinks at the concessions in two days. We would do it again though to support our All-Star. Congrats on a great season buddy!!!
Two of Carson's biggest fans...they're such good sports to always support him like they do.
(I think the pic above right could be a Sprite ad)
