Well it's been one year now since I was called as YW Pres. I am happy to announce that I still love the girls and they still love me....I think??? I've learned a ton this past year. I've learned that it's okay to say NO. That Personal Progress is important. That it is key to have reliable women working with me...which I do. That I am FREAKED out to have teenagers. That cell phones can be a pain in the booty! That simplicity is best. That no matter how big the obligation my family comes first. That I really do love this organization, and most of all that my Heavenly Father has been with me every step of the way. We had New Beginnings the other night and I made each of the girls a 2008 YW video. Here's just a few of the pics that were in that video.

I cannot wait for this season of Dancing With the Stars. I'm so excited to watch this cast. I think they've chosen some great "stars" and I can't wait to see if there's tension between the real life couples. These couples are on my top three of who I can't wait to watch perform.

I gave in....but how could I not!
With the economic times being hard right now, Dave and I have decided it's time to stop being so free with our money. We've decided the best place for our extra income is right into our savings account. I've done so so so good. I haven't bought one single item of clothing for 4 weeks until 2 days ago... I gave in, but how could I not at the deals I got. The combined total of both of my girls outfits was $3.74
Target had clearance on all of their V-day stuff, including the clothes and I couldn't resist.
Their shirts were .79cents a piece,
skirts .79 cents a piece,
leggings .29 cents a piece,
Hello, great deal and great savings, plus it's never too late for little girls to wear hearts.
As many of you know I'm a movie junky. In fact I should have my own column or T.V. show that's how often I see movies. Anyhoo....Loved "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and was definitely not into "He's just not that into you". It's a shame, with all of the actors in this movie it should have been ten times better.

Happy Heart Week!
It was another busy week here at the Rees household. I started the week off by attending one of my Young Women, Melanie's basketball games. They played an inner city Memphis school, and I hate to admit this, but I was definitely watching my back all night...if you know what I mean.
Next we attended Cara's preschool party. She was so looking forward to Valentine's because she has a boyfriend, so she says. There's a little boy named Hank at her school and she told me that she loved him and that he was her Valentine. Super cute now, in a couple of years...not so cute.
Then our friend Kristen had the kids over for sugar cookie decorating and a pinata. Thanks Kristen!
We went to Carson's class party Friday. He is such the class clown. He's a definite leader and so many kids follow. It's okay now, I just hope it doesn't become a problem later. Here they are being typical boys....goofy! Whoever sent in the bazooka lips....you're on my hit list LOL!
We ended the week by attending Dave's Ward ball game. He did a great job. He hit the floor once and I swear the whole ground shook. He's still a great player and I get a kick out of watching him. I'm just always crossing my fingers that no four letter words come flying out of his mouth. :)It's been a good week. As I read my Mom's Facebook today, she reminded me that it has been a year since she had her heart surgery. I'm so grateful for her and so glad she is now healthy. I want her as well as all of you to know
"We love you, more than tongue can tell"!

Memphis-2nd most MISERABLE
city to live in....
So according to Forbes magazine, Memphis is the second most miserable city in the United States, due to high state taxes, crime, bad sports teams, and racial tension. The word Miserable may be a little harsh. I believe it's whatever you make of it. Because of great friends we're really starting to love it here. Remember though.....we're in a suburb of Memphis. I just may be miserable if I lived in downtown Memphis.
