11 years of memories

I've been so busy lately that I totally forgot to mention our Anniversary. Dave and I celebrated 11 very blessed years on August 7th. We got back from Utah the night before so we didn't have much planned. We decided last minute to get a babysitter, grab a bite to eat, and go see the Dark Knight. Not very romantic, but I think you can all agree that time spent alone with your spouse is priceless no matter what you're doing. Maybe next year will be a little better planned out.

Happy Anniversary Dave!

Love, VINCE

Olympic Moments

GO TEAM USA!
A perfect Olympic Moment. Dave and I were nearly on our feet waiting for the outcome of this race. What a fun and exciting relay to watch. Gotta love the Olympics for moments like this!

Out with the old.....

So it was definitely time for a change and I decided if I was going to do it I was going to go big. So here's the end result. I decided to go with a pretty obvious A-line and take 10 inches off. I love it!

Everyone says I look more like Natalie now, what do you think? Dave loves my hair long, but I think he actually likes this "do" also. My favorite part of shorter hair is obvious....less hair to dry and straighten. Big time bonus!!!!

Wrapping up our summer vacation....

GIVING THANKS TO........
Our parents for letting us crash at their homes, use their cars, eat their food, entertaining us 24/7. To Grandma and Papa for letting us borrow their car and hosting a great 24th party. To Michelle for a great family reunion. To Heidi for a fun friend day. To Cassie for helping with my girl's. To Alyson for helping with Carson. Everyone's help was greatly appreciated!
My Mom took the girl's to Sweet and Sassy. They had a great time and got to play princess for a day. Thanks Mom!
Thanks to my sister Alyson for letting Carson be her "live in" for the week.

I had a great visit with my friends Heidi and Anne. They're two of my old neighbors. Thanks Heidi for a good time!

Alyson's Big Day!

My sister Alyson went through the temple for her first time this past Thursday. I'm so happy for her and glad that I was able to be part of her big day. After the temple session her little guy TY was blessed and then we celebrated her 29th birthday with both of her families. It was a big day for her, one I'm sure she's been looking forward to for quite sometime. Congratulations Alyson, we're so proud of you!

Temple Square/Gateway

My Mom and I took the kids downtown to Temple Square and Gateway. I wish I could say we had a fabulous time, but it was just way toooooooo hot. " Yep, the dry heat has now caught up with me." I'm a little bummed out that we didn't walk around the temple more. I think my kids are still a little too young to really appreciate all of the sites of SLC. They did however have a great time running through the fountains at The Gateway. Hopefully as they get a little older they'll look forward to visiting Temple Square as much as I do.

Bear Lake with the Hooper's

We had a wonderful weekend getaway up at Bear Lake. It was so fun to see my Hooper family and to catch up with everyone. It's crazy, every time I come home there's at least 2 new babies that have been born. Our families are growing like crazy! I'm so glad my kids got to see their cousins. I think it's so important to have good relationships with your extended family and I hope through my example my kids know how precious that is to me. Next stop....Alpine
