Go.... TWO~O

It was character day at the kids school last week. They were to pick a character from one of their favorite books and dress up as them. Since they don't celebrate Halloween here, this was the first time everyone got to dress up so it was exciting for them. Ryleigh's whole class did "Cat in the Hat", she chose to be Thing 7 her favorite number.
Cara wanted to be "Dorothy" but we didn't have a costume and since I had just delivered Evan, my sweet friend Tiffany just whipped this right up for us. She's way too good to me! Cara loved it and luckily we already had red shoes. Carson of course opted for the class t-shirt....such his personality.
Carson's 5th Grade PTA program
In most cases Carson hates to sing or perform in front of people (like his Mom), but this time was different. He had football and chose to sing over going to his practice. Dave and I couldn't figure it out. The PTA program was not required and in the past he's said "no way"! So I thought about for a while and then all of the sudden it hit me~"He's doing this because of a girl"....so I got up the courage to ask him in a very casual way if there was a girl there he liked and didn't get to see often and sure enough I was right. Mom's always know!!! Oh boy my handsome, little Carson is growing up~scary!!!
Just like most of you......Our house has been taken over by College Football. Since I've been home recovering, I think I've watched more football in one week than I have my whole entire life. No complaints though. It's funny, since Carson has started playing football I've actually enjoyed watching the game. I'm still lost when it comes to some of the rules, but I'm learning. Maybe by the time Evan plays I'll actually get the game. It's no surprise that we're Utah fans at this house. I think we're the only ones in Tennessee but Dave is loud and proud about it.
Our little boy FINALLY entered this world last Thursday the 9th and we were so excited for his arrival. I was scheduled to be induced that morning at 5am. So Dave and I woke up at 4 am, checked in at the hospital, did the paperwork, answered their MANY questions, and then started the delivery process around 7:30am. All I can say is that I was meant to have babies! I pushed for about a half an hour and he was born at 11:29am. Everything went perfect. I had a wonderful OB and the nursing staff was great...even had a few students, which surprisingly didn't bother me at all. I figured they had to learn somehow :)
We let the kids stay home from school with Grandma and Grandpa Rees. They were anxiously out in the hall waiting for their little brother to arrive. Carson was so excited, Cara just wanted to help care for him immediately, and Ryleigh-well she was more into the hospital food and machinery...of course!!
I love being alone with my babies at the hospital. It's such a special bonding time and a moment that no one can share with their baby but their Mother. As Mom's you know~you can't kiss them enough, hug them enough, snuggle them enough,....It's the best, I just love that alone time.
These pictures were taken at the hospital. I think they turned out pretty cute. All in all it was a perfect few days. We feel so blessed and thankful to have a healthy, happy, little one in our home. Babies definitely bring a spirit and love into the home, one that we have to cherish because as we all know they sure do grow up fast. Thanks for all of your well wishes.
Well the day has finally come to deliver this baby. I'm scheduled to be induced tomorrow morning at 5am. I'm so excited for so many reasons.....Here's just a few~
