What a sweet boy I have.
 RYLEIGH TURNS 7!!!!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY

For Ryleigh's birthday party this year she decided she wanted to invite a few less friends and go downtown and celebrate in style!!!  They started the night with dinner at the "Kooky Kanucks".  She loves it there-for dessert they bring a small lit fire to the table and you get to roast s'mores yum!!!!  Then we all took a carriage ride in only the best carriage, the cinderella one of course and took a little downtown tour of Memphis.  The girls loved it!  They were all so cute and so nicely mannered.  After her party a few of her friends came over to spend the night and decided it would be fun to sleep out in the tent in the back yard---well of course we know how long that lasted....maybe 10min.  Ryleigh had a great night.  Those of you who know Ryleigh know that she's such a joy to be around.  She's constantly making us giggle.  We love you Ryleigh!!!
 "LOCKS OF LOVE"
My sweet Ryleigh has been bugging me for months to cut her hair.  I'll admit I was a little more attached than she was.  I'm a long hair girl-always have been.  But recently there has been a lot of cancer talk in our community and I thought the time finally seemed right.  We had a young boy, Trey Erwin, who was diagnosed with an adult form of pancreatic cancer.  He was such an inspiration to the community of courage and faith.  He fought a hard battle but in the end the cancer won.  On this particular day Ryleigh thought it was a perfect way to celebrate his life and of course all I could do was agree~

 ORANGE BEACH, ALABAMA-GULF SHORES
CARSON HAD HIS WORLD SERIES BASEBALL TOURNAMENT IN ORANGE BEACH THIS YEAR.  WE WERE SO EXCITED. WE HAD FAMILY COMING OUT A GREAT HOTEL, AND COULDN'T WAIT TO SPEND THE WEEKEND WATCHING SOME BALL. WELL THAT ALL CAME TO A HALT IN THE FIRST GAME.  CARSON WAS PITCHING, FELT HIS ELBOW POP & WE KNEW HIS WORLD SERIES EXPERIENCE WAS OVER.  IT WAS SO DISAPPOINTING TO HAVE FAMILY IN TOWN AND  FOR THEM NOT TO BE ABLE TO WATCH HIM PLAY.  HE NEVER GETS TO HAVE HIS EXTENDED FAMILY WATCH SO I KNOW IT WAS DISAPPOINTING TO HIM TOO. WITH ALL THAT SAID, CARSON DID NOT PLAY THE REST OF THE TOURNAMENT.  THE FIRST PICTURE EXPLAINS HIS EXPERIENCE.  OUR FAMILY WAS GREAT THOUGH.  THEY STILL SUPPORTED OUR TEAM (EVEN IN 115 DEGREE WEATHER) AND MADE IT A MUCH MORE FUN MEMORY FOR CARSON.

ONCE WE KNEW BASEBALL WAS OUT WE SPENT MUCH MORE TIME AT THE BEACH.  NO COMPLAINTS THOUGH!!!!!  WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND I NOW KNOW WHY EVERY SOUTHERNER I KNOW NEVER LEAVES THE SOUTH TO VACATION-GULF SHORES IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE WATER IS PERFECT.  THANKS TO JIM, MARYANN, KEVIN & DEIDRE FOR SHARING IN A STRESSFUL YET FUN WEEKEND.
